A 68-Year-Old Florida Woman Called 911 Three Times Because a Bar Wouldn’t Serve Her a Jell-O Shot
By Erica Coleman · June 3, 2026
The bar is called the No Where Bar. It is located on SW 27th Avenue in Ocala, Florida. On the evening of May 28, it would not serve Diane Blalock a Jell-O shot. Blalock, 68, had a plan for this situation.
She called 911.
Marion County deputies confirmed Tuesday that Blalock called 911 three separate times to report that the No Where Bar would not give her a Jell-O shot and to request that a deputy respond and help her obtain the alcohol. Dispatchers received three calls. Attempts to reach Blalock by phone were unsuccessful. A deputy was dispatched to the bar.
While the deputy was en route, Blalock called 911 again.
When the deputy arrived, Blalock was seated at a table outside the front of the bar. She told the deputy her friend had left, that she needed a ride home due to medical conditions that prevented her from walking, and that the bar had refused to serve her.
The deputy explained that law enforcement could not give her a ride home. This was apparently new information.
The situation became more complicated when the bar’s owner informed the deputy that Blalock had previously been issued a trespass warning — meaning she was not legally permitted to be on the premises at all. Deputies confirmed the trespass warning in their records. The bar that wouldn’t serve her had, in fact, already asked her not to return.
A search following her arrest turned up a small amount of marijuana and two pipes. Blalock told deputies she had been drinking and had recently smoked marijuana. Marion County Fire Rescue was called to evaluate her. Once medically cleared, she was transported to the Marion County Jail.
The No Where Bar has not commented publicly on the incident. The Jell-O shot in question was never served.
