Cuisinart Recalled 12,000 Grills Sold at Walmart and Lowe’s Over Shattering Glass
By Erica Coleman · July 14, 2026
Stop using it. That’s the message from federal safety regulators to anyone who owns a Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grill — and the refund process is already open.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall last Thursday, covering approximately 12,660 stainless steel grills sold at Lowe’s, Walmart, and Cuisinart.com between December 2024 and May 2026. The grills, which include a griddle, a stovetop burner, and a pizza oven with a tempered glass lid, were priced between $500 and $750. The model number is CGG-6331, found on the label inside the right-hand metal door.
The problem is the glass. The CPSC says the tempered glass window in the pizza oven can shatter during use, posing a risk of serious laceration. Conair LLC, which manufactures Cuisinart products, has received 37 reports of the glass shattering — including one report of a fire. No injuries have been reported yet, but the CPSC considers that a reason to act now rather than wait.
Here’s how to claim your refund: visit Conair’s recall website at recallrtr.com/3in1grill and check whether your grill’s serial number is included. If it is, you’ll be asked to safely remove the tempered glass from the pizza oven and upload two photographs — one of the removed glass and one of the grill’s serial number. Once verified, you’ll receive either a $500 refund by check or reimbursement for the original purchase amount if you have a receipt.
After the refund comes through, write the word “Recall” on the glass with a black marker and dispose of it properly.
The recall covers only the Cuisinart Propel+ model CGG-6331. If you’re not sure whether your grill is affected, the CPSC page lists full details including the affected serial number ranges. You can also call Conair directly at 833-408-0463.
Summer grilling season is peak time for these products to be in use, which is part of why the CPSC moved quickly. Glass that shatters at a high enough temperature or under enough pressure near a heat source doesn’t behave predictably — it can send shards outward without warning.
The recall is voluntary, meaning Conair initiated it in cooperation with the CPSC rather than under a mandatory order. That matters to consumers because the refund offer is real and funded — voluntary recalls with established claim processes typically move faster than mandatory ones, since the manufacturer is cooperating rather than contesting.
If you bought this grill and haven’t registered it or received any notification, that’s normal — registration rates on consumer products are low, and most recall notices rely on retailers and media coverage to reach buyers. Lowe’s and Walmart are both required to post the recall notice, but the fastest path to your refund is going directly to recallrtr.com/3in1grill.
